Minting NFTs on Loopring can seem a bit hard to figure out. I'm here to try and make it less confusing.

Step 0: Sign up for Pinata.cloud: simply follow the URL and create an account.

Step 1: Acquire JPG

This is self-explanatory. Find the image file you want to mint, then create a folder for it.

Step 2: Uploading NFT folder to IPFS (Pinata)

Upload your "My NFT" folder to Pinata. Name it whatever you want.

You'll need this CID (Content Identifier) in your metadata file.

Step 3: Creating the metadata.json file

Copy this shizznit, paste it into a text file, name it metadata.json - blam, almost done.

{

"description": "Type an epic descrition here.",

"image": "ipfs://[INSERT CID OF IMAGE FOLDER HERE]/[INSERT IMAGE FILENAME HERE]",

"name": "Insert a name for your NFT here"

}

Here is an example:

Save that shit.

Step 4: Uploading metadata to IPFS (Pinata)

Remember how you created a folder to put solely your JPG in? Now, do the same with your metadata.json file.

After uploading the folder containing metadata.json to Pinata.cloud, head on over to loopring.io.

Link your MetaMask wallet to Loopring.io.

Click L2 Assets > My NFT > "Mint NFT"

Paste the CID generated for the metadata.json folder into the "IPFS CID" field. Select how many you would like to mint, then hit "Mint My NFT."

If you completed the prior steps, your NFT should now be located under L2 Wallet > My NFT

I hope this helps some people get started! :)

What do you think?

I’m getting POST requests from China, a Ukrainian data center, a TOR exit node, and others to my personal project server, any idea what is going on here?
